And so it was that me (malkygee), Shieldsy, Rab and Mark (the newest member of the MTB mad squad) found ourselves getting out of our pit at the very unsociable hour of 5.15am. Down to the other side of Glasgow to hire our gear and then off on the 2 hour drive to Glencoe, but only after a spot of McDonalds breaky of course.





Approaching the Ski centre it looked very tame with not alot of snow to be seen, so we all donned our gear and looking every inch the part we set off up the chairlift closely followed by Fraser, Scotty and the 2 Snow Bladers.




We took a short hike up the nursery slope to get used to this snowboarding lark, which proved to be much more difficult than it looks. When Fraser arrived he showed us the ropes then left us to our own devices. After a short while we decided that walking up the slope then sliding back down on our arse was not up to much so we decided to go for it and head up the next chairfilt so that we didnt have to walk.





After a couple of hours we started to get the hang of it and i must say that we all enjoyed the day very much.

I enjoyed it so much that it will definitely be becoming a regular occurance wether it be real snow or dry slope.

So i decided to start a small snowboard section to Glasgowmtbmad called Glasgowsbdmad and this is it.

Starting small it will contain much the same as the MTB section only different. Truth be told i havent decided yet but here goes anyway - keep your eyes peeled.
